How do I mount my flag?
Our feather flag kits will come with a telescoping pole kit and mounting hardware. The most popular mounting hardware is the ground stake, which allows for quick installation in the dirt. Flagpoles are mounted with 3-5 poles that can be grouped together to form one large pole. For flat, solid surface mounting, the cross-base is the most popular choice. Both mounting options require no additional tools for assembly and only take minutes to set up.

What are feather flags made of?
Feather flags are made of polyester material. The weight of the material used varies from company to company. We use 110 to 125 GSM polyester material for our custom flags. We find that flags in this thickness range are lightweight, yet still durable enough to withstand the unpredictable outdoor weather elements.

How can I make my flag last longer?
To maximize the life of your flag, always bring your flag and flagpole indoors during inclement weather conditions. If you notice the outer seams of your flag starting to tear, remove it immediately and repair it. Once the damage has spread to the inside of the flag, it cannot be repaired.
To clean your flag, hand wash it with a small amount of soap and allow it to air dry. Do not put them in the dryer.

Which flags last the longest?
All flags have the same lifespan, approximately 6 to 12 months. For dry areas, you will typically replace flags as they fade. The history of the feather flag began with the American Kite Association in the early 1960s. Kite flying began to be practiced around the world, including in places like India, East Asia, Pakistan, and the United States, though it was considered more of a hobby. It could be an individual or group activity, as some people might enjoy actually flying the kites while others might just enjoy observing.

In 1984, a group of American Kite Association members attended kite festivals in Singapore, China, and Bali. Single Sided vs. Double Sided
But what should you do, choose single or double sided?

Our single sided feather flags are printed on one side of the fabric, and you can see the pattern from the back of the flag. When you look at the image from the back, it is reversed or backwards and has an opacity of about 65%, which means it is not the same color or the same color as the front.

Double sided feather flags are slightly different. For our double sided flags, the pattern is the same on both sides and the opacity is 100% on both sides. We actually print the pattern on two separate pieces of fabric and then sew them together. There is a black grid between the two pieces of fabric so the image on one side does not show through on the other side. Double sided flags are the most popular custom flags we offer, and while they are more expensive, they are of better quality and more attractive.

What are vector graphics? Why do I need them?

The most common vector file formats are:

EPS (Encapsulated PostScript): Encapsulated Postscript Vector Graphics (Adobe Illustrator) or EPS is the file extension for a graphics file format used in vector-based images in Adobe Illustrator. EPS files can contain text and graphics.
Adobe Illustrator (AI): The native format of Adobe Illustrator is the AI ​​file created by Adobe Systems. It stands for Adobe Illustrator Artwork File. AI files are vector-based graphics contained in a single panel.
